A Much Needed Entry: Evanesence, Marching, and More

First off, I want to apologize for not writing in so long! I really didn't mean to put it off this long, honest! With the moving back in late July, the start of marching band, and lots of other random events, I just haven't had the time or energy to write. I promise I'll fill you in on as many of the details of the past several weeks as I can remember!

The move, back in July, was a complete success (:-D), but we couldn't have done it without the help of Alan and James. Thank you guys! The house is looking great. The whole thing is gorgeous, and our belongings fit in perfectly. Heather's and my room is so pretty! We did the whole thing in shabby chique, with white, detressed, metal "headboards" and standing lamp. We'll be getting our antique vanity next weekend. Yay! I'm so excited! I'll get a picture of it once it's completely finished.

Marching band started on August 2nd. We have a new band director. :-( He's not nearly as good as Mr. Westbrook was. At times he's more like a drill sargent than a band director. We marched 9-12 pm and did music rehearsal 1-4 pm for the past two weeks. It wasn't exactly the most fun I've had in marching band. I'm afraid I may be made an alternate, due to the fact I've been learning a COMPLETELY new style of marching. It's totally different than we marched in Green. My CP doesn't exactly help the situation. I'll just have to see on Monday...

On a lighter side, Alan took me to the Evanesence concert in Oklahoma City on Wednesday! It was so amazing! They we're touring with Seether (Broken w/ Amy Lee), Three Days Grace (Just Like You), and Breaking Bengimin (So Cold). And believe it or not, we were in the front row! It was so cool! I couldn't believe it. There were over 5,000 people there, and we got front row, just left of center. I've got picture's to prove it too! I'll get them developed asap and post them on here. The whole thing was an unforgettable experience. The music was incredible, the intensisity of it all was amazing, and the whole thing left me stunned that I'd even been there! The light effects while Evanesence was onstage were so cool! And Amy Lee was just so awesome! I couldn't believe I was actually seeing her. We were there for over five hours, but the time just seemed to fly by! It will remember that concert for the rest of my life! Plus, it was an early celebration of Alan's and my 3 month anniversary, which was yesterday, August 13th.

Well, that's all I can think of right now to right about since my last entry. I promise not to make them so scarce next time! Au revoir!
